Playboats are the one realm where you can really push the limits of design without any concern. This is because there is no “danger” involved with having an adaptation period. It’s not like you’re going to wash over a 50ft waterfall if you miss that airblunt. So its OK to try new things, look for new sensations, discover new and more interesting ways of playing on that same old wave.
That’s how we have approached the overall concept and design of our playboats. Our first thought is that if you’re the kind of paddler who wants something familiar, with minor changes from last years boat, then you are already well served. There are a ton of designs out there to choose from.
But if you’re a paddler who’s getting bored with what you’re in. You feel like you’ve stagnated, or the “newness” and excitement has gone out of your playboating (and no matter how often you upgrade to the newest and latest “this’ll make you a hero” design, you feel like your playboating is not going forwards), then you’re looking in the right place.
Our designs are here to give you NEW sensations, not simply amplify old ones. We’re not trying to get your Airblunt 6” higher, but rather trying to give you that same sensation again that you experienced the first time you did a blunt. That “WOW, that was cool!” feeling.
Each of our designs are radically different from the other, but they all have one thing in common. They were all designed to open new doors, to new feelings and new ways of paddling. Don’t confuse “different” to paddle with “hard” to paddle. They are not. In fact, you’ll probably find that after a few sessions, you’re having more fun that you ever have in a playboat!
